HOLLIES
Five 'Red
Holly' hybrids, provided by Flowerwood Nursery, are currently being tested
at The Dallas Arboretum. The new foliage on these varieties is
red-colored. Visit the "Hollywood" grove next to the Camp House to
view these Hollies.
AZALEAS
Five
varieties of Fall-blooming 'Encore' azaleas are currently being trialed at
the Dallas Arboretum:
Encore
'Amethyst'
Encore 'Rouge'
Encore 'Autumn Cheer'
Encore 'Royalty'
Encore 'Coral'
The 'Encore'
azaleas bloom in the spring, intermittently during summer, and again in
the fall. The 'Encore' azaleas trial plants are located lakeside in
the Jonsson Color Garden.
